Borelog Exploration & Material Testing
Civiltech Quality Control Lab Private limited Labs provides professional borelog exploration and comprehensive testing of subgrade
and sub-base
materials for roads, runways, highways and embankments. Our services are designed to assess
in-situ ground
conditions, determine material suitability and provide the engineering data needed to design
stable, durable
and economical pavement and earth structures.
Services
Our Borelog Exploration & Material Testing scope includes the following core activities:
- Borelog Drilling & Exploration: Rotary/auger drilling to prepare detailed
borelogs showing
depth-wise soil/rock strata, groundwater levels and layer descriptions.
- Sampling & In-situ Tests: Retrieval of disturbed and undisturbed samples,
execution of SPT
(Standard Penetration Test), field density checks, and other in-situ investigations.
- Subgrade & Sub-base Material Testing: Laboratory evaluation of
soil/sub-base materials for
strength, gradation, moisture-density relationship and compaction characteristics.
- Suitability Tests for Embankments: Assessment of candidate fill materials
for embankment
construction, including swelling/shrinkage, drainage and stability properties.
- Proctor Compaction Tests: Determination of optimum moisture content and
maximum dry density for
compaction control.
- California Bearing Ratio (CBR): Evaluation of bearing capacity for pavement
design.
- Permeability & Drainage Testing: Laboratory permeability tests and field
checks to understand
seepage and drainage behaviour.
- Plate Load & Field Strength Tests: Site-based loading tests where required
to verify in-situ
bearing and settlement characteristics.
